Heckerty’s Halloween Hacks – Day 11 Halloween Shepherd’s Pie

Halloween Shepherd’s Pie

What you need to make a meaty Halloween Shepherd’s Pie:

Pie crust

1/2 pound minced beef/or lamb

1 pkt frozen small sweet peas

1 large onion chopped fine

cooked, mashed sweet potatoes

salt, pepper and spices you like

olive oil

(Traditional shepherd’s pie is made with lamb.

Cottage pie is made with beef!)

Preparation:

Line a baking dish with pie crust and bake it according to directions.

In a skillet heat a little oil and sauté the onions until golden and clear.

Add the meat and the spices until meat is browned.

Then add the peas – sauté for 2 minutes

Put mixture of peas and meat into the pie crusted baking pan.

Candy Witch Brooms

Oh so simple and delicious! The mixing of crunchy, salty and peanut butter can’t be bettered.

What you need:

Miniature peanut butter cups, thin pretzel sticks.

Chill the peanut butter cups in the fridge so they are firm.

Then peel them from wrappers and add a thin pretzel stick.

Voilà! Perfect little brooms!
