Zanzibar and I have designed our very own 12 Days of Christmas to count down to Christmas Day. And it’s not only a song that you can learn and sing, it’s 12 fun crafts for parents, teachers and kids. And forget partridges and pear trees – ours is filled with Heckerty and Zanzibar things – mice, bats, sardines and wizards!

A Sardine Prepared for My Tea

“On the 1st day of Christmas, Zanzibar gave me:

A sardine prepared for my tea.

Does that sound strange?

Well it is, but it’s delicious. Give it a try and you might like it!

What you need:

  • 1 can of sardines
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 piece of bread

  • Toast the bread
  • Spread butter on one side
  • Top with sardines.

It’s that easy!

Now eat and enjoy!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year

From all the gang in Spellbound to all our fans and readers – we want this to be a Scunchadiliacly Fantastamagorical year for us all!

Earlier today all our friends and relations gathered near the cave to wish you all a Happy New Year. I was there and so was Zanzibar of course, and Persnickerty with Angelica and Brewse with Fido. The Chief Wizard dropped by to add his greetings as did our bat friends, Mr. Spoode, Leslie the Lizard and Skeet the Snail mail man. Then just as we were about to go home – Stickles and the hairbrush danced by to tell us they’d just won a tango competition, and were very excited!

So from all of us to all of you — Happy New Year and let’s have more exciting adventures together in 2015!
