Heckerty’s 12 Days of Christmas Day 7
“On the 7th day of Christmas, Zanzibar gave me:
Seven bats a-squeaking,
Six cauldrons boiling,
Five magic wands –
Four hooting owls.
Three blind mice,
Two jumping frogs,
And a sardine prepared for my tea.”
These “bats” are easy to make and can be customized for Christmas with glitter and red and green paint.
Add a hook to the string and create a Christmas tree ornament!

What you need:
- Egg carton
- Black paint
- Googly eyes
- String/Yarn
Directions:
- Cut the egg cartons into strips of three.
- Cut shapes for wings into the first and third cups.
- Paint the “bats” black
- Add googly eyes and string to hang.
- Also paint bats red, green or white and add glitter for the holidays!
